Loggers shutout Willamette in second half, but comeback bid falls short

Box Score SALEM, Oregon – Olivia Almy and the Logger defense blanked the Bearcats in the second half, but the Puget Sound lacrosse team's comeback bid fell short at Willamette, 7-6. It was Puget Sound's final game of the 2022 season.
 
The Loggers entered halftime in a 7-2 deficit, with Emily LaRiviere and Hayden Hotchkiss accounting for the two Puget Sound goals.
 
LaRiviere scored her second goal of the game three minutes into the second half, and Lauren Mastin cut Willamette's lead to 7-4 with 90 seconds left in the third quarter.
 
Beatrice Bridge scored twice in the fourth quarter, but the Loggers could not net the equalizer.
 
Almy made eight saves in the second half, keeping the Bearcats off the scoreboard in the game's final 30 minutes.
