TACOMA, Washington – Emily Moore and
Abbi Wong hit solo home runs, but the Puget Sound softball team lost the first game of a doubleheader against Pacific, 4-2, Sunday afternoon. Puget Sound also lost the second game, 9-0 (6 inn.).

Puget Sound entered the seventh inning in a 4-0 deficit, but Moore led off the final inning with her second home run of the season, clearing the fence in left-center field. Two batters later, Wong belted her first homer of 2022 to the same part of the field.

Between the two games, Moore went 3-for-6 at the plate. She also hit a double.
Lauren Rice went 2-for-3 in the first game. In the circle,
Kelsie Sullivan allowed just three earned runs in her complete-game outing.

The Loggers are on the road next week at Linfield, April 9-10.
