Loggers ready to host Linfield for midweek NWC game

TACOMA, Washington – With the second-best overall winning percentage in the Northwest Conference, the Puget Sound women's lacrosse team hosts Linfield Wednesday, April 6, at 5 p.m.
 
Cream of the crop
The Loggers are 6-2 overall, and 4-2 in the NWC. George Fox is in first place with a 5-0 NWC record (10-0 overall), and Willamette (4-1 NWC) is a half game ahead of Puget Sound in the conference standings.
 
BEAst on the draw
Beatrice won a season-high 13 draw controls against Willamette Sunday (April 3). Bridge averages 5.5 draw controls per game, which ranks fifth in the NWC.
 
LaRiviere leads Loggers
Emily LaRiviere leads the Loggers in scoring with 26 goals this season. That total ranks seventh in the NWC. LaRiviere also has a team-high eight assists.
 
Take care
The Loggers have committed only 101 turnovers this season – the fewest in the NWC.
 
For a cause
Puget Sound midfielders Beatrice Bridge (12) and Hayden Hotchkiss (11) lead the Loggers in caused turnovers.
 
The first time around
Puget Sound beat Linfield, 17-11, in the 2022 season-opener in McMinnville, Oregon (Feb. 26). Emily LaRiviere scored seven goals, and Milan Lam added four.
 
Scouting Linfield (6-4, 2-3 NWC)
The Wildcats enter Wednesday's game with five consecutive wins. Only one of those games a conference contest, and it was a 12-11 win over Whitworth (April 3). Amelia Wright leads Linfield in scoring with 29 goals, and Bethany Shade has 28. Maia Rezoski had 24 goals, and Abby Ross has 23.
