TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's soccer team will have its unbeaten record tested by Northwest Conference opponents for the first time when the Loggers kickoff at Willamette (Sept. 17) and Linfield (Sept. 18) this weekend. Both games start at 2:30 p.m.

By the skin of their teeth
It appeared the Loggers were going to suffer their first loss of the season at the College of Idaho (Sept. 11). The Yotes held a 1-0 lead up to the final minute of regulation, when the Loggers earned a penalty kick.
Graham Hall buried the opportunity to bring Puget Sound's record to 4-0-2.

Ryan Saunders was named the NWC Student-Athlete of the Week after the Loggers went 2-0-1 against Multnomah, Eastern Oregon, and the College of Idaho. The Puget Sound keeper allowed just two goals and made 11 saves for the week. Saunders has a 0.67 GAA and 21 saves for the season.

Scouting Willamette (2-0-2)
The unbeaten Bearcats have ties against Claremont-M-S and Cal Lutheran, and wins over Colorado College and UC Santa Cruz. Willamette has totaled 11 goals in those four games, five of which are by Pierce Gallaway. The Bearcats allow 1.50 goals per game.

Scouting Linfield (1-4)
The Wildcats' lone win this season came against Lewis & Clark earlier this week (Sept. 12). Linfield has been outscored by a combined 13-7 through five games. Three players have two goals through five games. Â
