Box Score NEWBERG, Oregon – The Puget Sound volleyball team won its third consecutive Northwest Conference match Friday night, outlasting George Fox, 3-2, on the road.
The Loggers won two of the first three sets, but George Fox forced a decisive fifth set.
Puget Sound dominated the fifth set, 15-8.
Four Loggers finished the night with double-digit kills.
Katelyn Chekian led the attack with 12 kills, and
Maddie Klopcic added 11.
Sarah Johnsen and
Avery Allemann both put up 10 kills.
Logan Winn recorded 41 assists. It was her second-career contest with at least 40 assists – she had 43 against Chapman this season (Sept. 10).
The Loggers' fierce attack (.234) prevented the Bruins from recording a single block. In contrast, Puget Sound finished with eight blocks.
The Loggers remain in Oregon to take on Pacific Saturday, Sept. 24, at 6 p.m.
