Four-game homestand concludes Wednesday against Multnomah

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's soccer team rounds out its season-opening four-game homestand against Multnomah Wednesday, Sept, 7, at 3:30 p.m.
 
Unbeaten through three
With wins over Evergreen State and Marian, and a tie against Colorado College, the Loggers are unbeaten through the first three games of the season. The last time Puget Sound went unbeaten through the first three games of a season was in 2016.
 
Spread the wealth
The Loggers have scored five goals so far this season, each by a different player: Graham Hall, Stuart Methner, Luke Ahearn, Chris Haley, Shane Ivich.
 
Stone wall
The Loggers carry a 0.67 goals-against average into Wednesday's game, with Ryan Saunders playing every minute so far in goal this season. Saunders has eight saves and two shutouts to his credit.
 
The 2021 matchup
Puget Sound beat Multnomah, 4-0, the last time the two teams went head-to-head (Sept. 2021). Graham Hall, Shane Ivich, Marko Babiak, and Ryan Smith each scored against the Lions.
 
Scouting Multnomah (3-0)
An NAIA member, Multnomah has totaled 12 goals through its three wins this season. One of those victories came against Northwest Conference member George Fox, 3-1 (Sept. 3). Michael Appiah have five goals and five assists this season, while Jean Mikael has three goals and three assists.
