Polak nets game-winner, Saunders records third shutout

Box Score TACOMA, Washington – Etienne Polak scored in the game-winning goal in the second half, and Ryan Saunders recorded his third shutout to beat Multnomah, 1-0, in Baker Stadium Wednesday afternoon.

The Loggers remain unbeaten (3-0-1) this season.

In the 63rd minute Puget Sound pressured the Lions' backline, forcing Multhomah into a turnover. Jake Aigner carried the ball from the right sideline to the middle of the field, and he found Polak streaking down the left sideline wide open.

Aigner's pass hit Polak just outside the 18-yard box, and Polak buried his first goal of the season.

Saunders made four saves in the win, including a big stop in the final 60 seconds of the game.

The Loggers travel to Idaho where they will take on Eastern Oregon (Sept. 9) and the College of Idaho (Sept. 11).
