NEWBERG, Oregon - Six Loggers scored in double figures as the Puget Sound men's basketball team rolled past George Fox, 107-99, Saturday night.

The game marked the first time since Feb. 2020 that the Loggers eclipsed 100 points in a conference contest (vs. Pacific). The 107 points is the most by a Puget Sound team since the Loggers put up 109 against Whitman Jan. 26, 2018.

Taj Phillips record his third double-double of the season, posting 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Will Pohland led the Loggers in scoring with 19 points, and
Grant Erickson finished with 15 points and eight rebounds.

Liam Ruttledge scored 14 points for his 10
th game in double figures, and
Drew Gillette chipped in 10 points off the bench.

Dezman Baker rewarded Puget Sound with his first-career start, netting a season-high 13 points.

The Loggers held a 50-42 lead at halftime, but the Bruins tied the score, 57-57, three and a half minutes into the second half. Gillette broke that tie by scoring in the paint while drawing a foul for the traditional three-point play, and the Loggers never trailed for the rest of the game.

Puget Sound's lead reached double digits, 80-70, when Baker scored in the paint midway through the first half.

The Loggers remain in Oregon to take on Willamette Saturday, Jan. 7, at 6 p.m.
