Box Score TACOMA, Wash. – The Puget Sound women's soccer team secured another shutout in a 2-0 win against George Fox University on Saturday afternoon.
The Loggers found the net late in the first half when
Rylee MacLennan scored her first goal of the season, clinching the game winner from the right side. The shot soared over the goalkeeper's head and landed in the opposite side of the net. The Loggers outshot the George Fox Bruins 8-4 in the first half.
In the 85th minute,
Zoe Fowler doubled the lead for the Loggers, her fifth goal this season off an assist from
Leila Hausia-Haugen. The Bruins goalkeeper made four saves in the second half.
Megan Schellhase made three saves and earned her fifth clean sheet. The Loggers finished with seven shots on goal.
The Loggers play in their last home match of the season tomorrow at noon in Baker Stadium against Pacific University.
