Box Score TACOMA, Wash. – Marko Babiak scored his fifth game-winning goal of the season, leading the Loggers to a 1-0 victory over the Linfield Wildcats on Saturday afternoon during Homecoming Weekend.
The game started off with a flurry of fouls from both teams, totaling seven each in the first half, but it settled down in the second half. During the first half, the Loggers managed nine shots compared to the Wildcats' six, but neither team could find the back of the net, resulting in a scoreless first half.
In the second half, the Loggers had multiple scoring opportunities, registering five shots on goal. In the 74
th minute, the Loggers were awarded a penalty kick, but
Graham Hall was unable to convert. However, just seconds later, off the rebound, Babiak capitalized, slotting the ball into the back left corner of the net to give the Loggers the lead. The Wildcats were unable to equalize, and the match ended 1-0 in favor of the Loggers, bringing their record to 3-3-2 in the Northwest Conference.
Ryan Saunders finished with five saves, while his opponent, Colby Reese, made four saves. The Loggers ended with four corner kicks, nine fouls and a caution.

th at 2:30 p.m., followed by a match against Whitworth University in Spokane, Wash. on Sunday, October 15
th at 2:30 p.m.
