TACOMA, Wash. – The Puget Sound women's soccer team celebrates the accomplishments of six athletes in their All-Northwest Conference achievements. Earning first-team honors are
Ava Cholakian and
Sienna Kloss, second-team recognitions go to
Kya Scott and
Zoe Witter.
Megan Schellhase and
Rylee MacLennan receive honorable mentions.
Cholakian has been a part of All-NWC all four years of her collegiate soccer career. She has contributed 37 goals to the Loggers, 10 of which she managed in the 2023 season alone. Cholakian has played a vital role for the Loggers throughout her time with the team, scoring four game winning goals and four assists this season.
Kloss, who received second-team honors last year, showcased significant improvement in her defending skills during the 2023 season. Playing almost every minute of each game, helping to record nine clean sheets, and winning 13 games this season, while also notching two goals of her own.
In her inaugural year with the Loggers, Scott made a notable impact by recording eight goals and six assists, playing in all 20 games. A fire on the field scoring three game winning goals this season. Freshman Witter demonstrated tenacity, assisting for four goals and scoring three of her own.
Schellhase managed seven shutouts totaling 47 saves at a 3.13 saves/game rate, showcasing her goalkeeping prowess in the 2023 season. Meanwhile, 2023 will be MacLennan's second year receiving All-NWC honors, she started all 20 matches, adding two goals and an assist for the Loggers.
The Loggers finished second in NWC regular season play.
