TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's basketball team celebrates its four seniors as the Loggers continue their playoff push with home games against Linfield and Pacific this weekend (Feb. 10-11).

Leading up to tipoff against Pacific, the Loggers will honor
Grant Erickson,
CJ Geathers,
Paul McCann, and
Mussie Teclemariam.

NWC's top dog
Grant Erickson was named the NWC Student-Athlete of the Week following the Loggers' wins over Willamette and George Fox. The senior came up one point shy of matching his career-high in scoring when he dropped 22 points on Willamette. Erickson also pulled down eight rebounds in the 89-78 win (Feb. 3). The Following day, Erickson notched his third-double-double of the season with 12 points and 13 rebounds in a 93-83 win over George Fox (Feb. 3). Overall on the weekend, Erickson shot 57.7-percent from the floor.

Tearing up the conference
Mussie Teclemariam has been on a tear ever since the conference schedule started (Dec. 2), as he has scored in double digits for 13 consecutive games. Teclemariam is averaging 16.1 points per game during that stretch. Overall this season, he is the team's leading scorer (14.0).

Finding teammates
Taj Phillips ranks second in the NWC with 5.1 assists per game. He totaled 16 assists last weekend in the wins over Willamette and George Fox. He has reached a career-high nine assists in three different games this season.

Drawing the line
No team in the NWC is better than Puget Sound at getting to the free-throw line (458 attempts), and no NWC team is better at knocking-down free-throws (74.9-percent).

Scouting Linfield (9-12, 6-6 NWC)
The Wildcats recently had a three-game winning streak snapped a Pacific Lutheran, 81-80 (Feb. 4). Two players average double-digits in scoring: Trey Bryant (14.4) and Carson Bonine (10.0). Bryant is the team's leading rebounder (6.6). Puget Sound beat Linfield, 76-71, in Oregon earlier this season (Jan. 14).

Scouting Pacific (9-12, 4-8 NWC)
The Boxers are in the midst of a six-game losing streak entering this weekend. Jacob Bolger is the NWC's sixth-leading scorer (14.4), and Lucas Winkler leads the NWC in assists (7.6). Pacific's intense defense leads to a conference-leading 9.4 steals per game. The Boxers narrowly beat the Loggers, 83-78, in Oregon earlier this season (Jan. 13).
