TACOMA, Washington – Making his third start of the season, 
Henry Baker kept Willamette off balance as the Puget Sound baseball team completed its three-game Northwest Conference sweep with a 4-2 win at Logger Field Sunday.
 
Baker allowed only three hits and didn't issue any walks as he improved to 2-1 on the season. 
Joe Schwab earned the two-inning save, his second of the season.
 
Puget Sound put up three runs in the second inning, it was all the Loggers' pitching staff needed. 
Gio Parascondola and 
William Gross hit consecutive one-singles, and they both moved up a base on a passed ball. 
Cody Hirano then lifted a sac fly to score Parascondola, and 
Drew Kamihara hit a single that allowed Gross to touch home plate.
 
Following a walk to 
Dylan Joyce, 
Makana Murashige smacked an RBI single to cap off the rally.
 
Joyce delivered an RBI single in the eighth inning after 
Cody Hirano (walk) and Kamihara (single) both reached based.
 
Kamihara, Joyce, and Gross collected two hits each in the game.
 
The Loggers improved to 14-7 overall and 8-6 in the NWC – good for third place.
 
Puget Sound is on the road next week to take on George Fox (March 25-26).
