TACOMA, Washington – Backed by the Northwest Conference's Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week, the Puget Sound lacrosse team returns to conference action when it hosts Willamette Wednesday, March 22, at 4 p.m. in Baker Stadium. The Loggers then host George Fox Saturday, March 25, on East Field at 1 p.m.

Cat Schilli was named the NWC's top offensive player for last week after she totaled 11 goals between two non-conference games. Schilli scored five goals against Carroll (March 16), followed by a six-goal game against Corban (March 18). Schilli is the Loggers' leading scorer this season with 22 goals.

Emily LaRivere had a career-high five assists in the Loggers' win over Corban (March 18). She has seven assists overall this season, with is tied with
Abby Stranahan for the team lead.

Maddie Hider leads the Loggers' defensive efforts with 17 caused turnovers. Her season high is seven caused turnovers at Linfield (March 11).

The Bearcats recently had a four-game winning streak snapped with losses at Whitman (March 12) and at George Fox (March 18). Willamette scores nearly 14 goals per game (13.89), and it allowed 11.58, on average. Four players have at least 20 goals this season: Lily Bachiochi (20); Maddie Garcia (22); Catie Kawamura (24); Tati Klenk (26).

Scouting Georg Fox (8-0, 7-0 NWC)
The first-place Bruins take on Chapman this week (March 22) before traveling to Tacoma. George Fox recently beat Willamette, 18-7 (March 18). The Bruins topped the Loggers, 21-2, earlier this season (Feb. 22). Ava Bluhm has 32 goals this season, and Marena Tharpe has 32. Kyra Barnes leads the way in assists with 20.
