TACOMA, Washington – Coming off of its first win of the season, the Puget Sound lacrosse team returns to the road for Northwest Conference games at Linfield (March 11) and Pacific (March 12).

First one out the way
Puget Sound got its first win of the season with an 11-9 victory at Whitworth (March 5). The Loggers have five consecutive wins over the Pirates, dating back to 2019.

Unfortunate result
The Loggers enter this weekend with a 1-2 overall record, but they could just as easily be 2-1. Puget Sound held an 8-2 lead at Willamette (Feb. 26), but the Bearcats stormed back to win in overtime, 12-11.

Abb-solute force
Abby Stranahan is the Loggers' leading scorer so far this year with 11 goals. Last year she scored 29 goals in 13 games.

Cat's leaps and bounds
Freshman
Cat Schilli scored her first-career goals when she found the back of the net four times at Willamette (Feb. 26). She followed that performance with three goals at Whitworth (March 5). She also leads the Loggers in caused turnovers (7) this season.

Scouting Linfield (1-5, 1-4 NWC)
The Wildcats earned their first win of the season this week at Pacific, 13-4 (March 8). Gabby Crist is the conference's third-leading scorer with 20 goals, and she has a team-high four assists. Grayce Miller leads the defensive efforts with 14 caused turnovers. Linfield is allowing 17.5 goals per game, while scoring 8.0 on the other end.

Scouting Pacific (1-6, 0-5 NWC)
Pacific's lone win this season was against Multnomah, 16-4 (Feb. 16). The Boxers have failed to score more than five goals in five of their seven games. Devyn Davis, Sarah Pokorny, and Taylor Alcaire each have 10 goals this season. The defense is allowing 14.0 goals per game.
