TACOMA, Washington – Sofia Gonzales hit her first-career home run, but the Puget Sound softball team lost both ends of a doubleheader at home against No. 7 Linfield Friday afternoon. The Wildcats took the first game, 8-0 (6 inn.), and they won the second game, 9-1.

Gonzales led off the bottom of the sixth inning in the second game, and the Roseville, California native belted her first collegiate home run. It was one of her two hits in the game.

Hailee Ueyama both picked up a base hit in the second game, and Ueyama hit a double in the first game.

The Loggers and Wildcats meet against Saturday, April 8, for a doubleheader at 11 a.m.
