Box Score PORTLAND, Ore. – Puget Sound men's soccer secured its first win of the 2023 Northwest Conference season with a 5-0 result against Lewis & Clark College on Sunday.

Midway through the first half, defender Etienne Polak scored to move Puget Sound into an early lead 1-0. For the second consecutive day, Graham Hall converted a penalty kick to increase Puget Sound's lead to 2-0. The Loggers were not done yet, scoring in the closing seconds of the first half with a goal by Liam Elliott off an assist by Hall to go into halftime with a 3-0 lead.     

The Loggers extended the lead with Polak adding to his totals off his second goal of the game (and the season), Jake Aigner was credited with the assist. Puget Sound finished the game with its final goal by Isaac Storms with an assist by Sebastian Telles. The Loggers kept the Pioneers scoreless allowing just five shots on the game, while Ryan Saunders recorded three saves and a clean sheet. 

Puget Sound moves to a record of 1-2-1 in NWC action (3-2-1 overall). The Loggers return to Oregon next weekend when they take on Pacific and George Fox.
