FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Kya Scott continued to add to her season numbers and propelled the Loggers to a 2-1 victory against the Pacific Boxers on Friday night.
Puget Sound came out aggressive in the first half pressuring Pacific with nine shots. Scott was able to find the space to put the Loggers in the lead in the 44
th minute of the game with an unassisted goal.
In the second half, the Boxers equalized the game with a goal at the 61
st minute mark. Undeterred, Puget Sound quickly responded off its corner kick opportunity by Scott to find
Amelia Guasco for a header to place the ball in the lower left corner of the goal for the go-ahead score. Puget Sound's defense limited the Boxers to just three shots on goal.
The Loggers remain undefeated in Northwest Conference play with a record of 4-0-1. Puget Sound next faces George Fox on Sunday before returning home on Wednesday, October 4
th for a match up against Pacific Lutheran University.
