Another Three Points For Women's Soccer

FOREST GROVE, Oregon (October 5, 2024) - Puget Sound (3-4-2, 3-1-1 NWC) went head to head with the Pacific Boxers earlier today and came out victorious 2-0. In addition to goals scored by Emily O'Neil and Bre Fulton-Kaneshiro, the Loggers had seven other shots on goal and six corner kick opportunities.

The Loggers came out swinging with six of their shots taken in the first half and five corner kicks. O'Neil's goal, assisted by Kya Scott, came in the 44th minute which gave the Loggers a crucial lead going into halftime. The team kept pressing and Fulton-Kaneshiro, with the help of and Zoe Witter, found the back of the net in the 75th minute to solidify the three points for Puget Sound.

The game was rather equal in possession with the Loggers maintaining the ball for 53% of the game, but in the end they took better advantage of their chances. Women's soccer plays again tomorrow, Oct 6, at George Fox at 2:45pm. They will return home next weekend to battle Whitman and Whitworth.
