TACOMA, Washington (November 9, 2024) - Logger Women's Basketball took on powerhouse Ripon College, powerhouse from the Midwest Conference this evening. It was the first game of the annual Doug McArthur Classic, a preseason tournament hosted by Puget Sound. While the score shows one game, there were progressions throughout the game that Head Coach
Casey Kushiyama was pleased to see as the night progressed.
The Loggers knew that the Red Hawks were going to be a challenge. They're senior-heavy, and have been extremely familiar with the NCAA Top 25 rankings in the past few years. However, plenty of Loggers had the opportunity to show their skills throughout the night, especially in the second half. Freshman
Carmen Cruz scored 16 points, leading the Loggers in her first collegiate game, playing only 18 minutes.
Addison Reardon also recorded 15 points, shooting 5-6 in FGs and was 75% on her field goal attempts.
The Loggers next take on Christopher Newport University on Monday, November 11th, at 5:00pm at home in the final game of the McArthur Classic.
