Box Score CLAREMONT, Calif. (Monday, Sept. 2) - Coming off a tie against the defending national champions California Lutheran, the Loggers fell to nationally ranked Pomona Pitzer in the second game of its California tour.

The Sagehens took an early lead with a goal in the 21st minute from the top of the box with a strike that found its way to the upper right corner of the net. Puget Sound goalkeeper Gianna Maldonado came away with a total of 11 saves, keeping the Loggers in the match until the last twenty minutes of competition. Pomona-Pitzer sealed the deal with two goals in the second half, one in the 73rd minute and one in the 87th.

The Loggers play Case Western Reserve University this Friday at 5:00 PM at home.
