Box Score NEWBERG, Oregon (January 24, 2025) -- In a strong offensive showing, the Loggers (7-9, 2-5 NWC) defeated the George Fox Bruins (7-0, 3-5 NWC) 82-71.

The Loggers opened the game with a 16-4 run, led by Zane Miller. They extended their lead to 18, scoring nine unanswered points to go up 34-16, and maintained their momentum to end the first half with a 42-26 advantage.

In the second half, the Bruins trimmed the Loggers' lead to nine and then to four. With nine minutes remaining, the Loggers pushed their lead back to 15 on a layup by Jaden Turner. The Bruins cut the deficit to three, but the Loggers held off the comeback attempt to secure the win.

Miller led the way for the Loggers with 16 points. Taj Phillips and Hugo Rutherfurd each added 15, with Rutherfurd also grabbing seven rebounds.

The Loggers play again tomorrow against Willamette University at 4 p.m.
