WALLA WALLA, Washington (Friday, January 3) - The University of Puget Sound women's basketball team faced the Whitman Blues this evening in their first game of the weekend, suffering a 48-75 loss.
Autumn Hill and
Addison Reardon led the Loggers in scoring, contributing 14 and 12 points, respectively, however it wasn't enough to pull the Loggers ahead.
Ball security proved to be the decisive factor in the game. The Blues forced 21 turnovers from the Loggers, including 16 steals, while Puget Sound managed to force just four turnovers from Whitman. The Blues capitalized on these opportunities, scoring 26 points off turnovers—a key contributor to their victory.
The Loggers will look to rebound tomorrow, Saturday, January 4, as they take on the Whitworth Pirates at 6:00 p.m., following the conclusion of the men's game.
