Loggers Beat Pacific 2-1 in Much Needed Victory

FOREST GROVE, Ore. -- The Loggers get revenge on Pacific, taking the Boxers down 2-1 in a thrilling comeback win.
How it Happened
The Boxers got on the board early, scoring less than a minute into the game. This lit a fire in the playstyle of the Loggers, as they started to put a ton of pressure on Pacific's back line. Three shots by Sydney Boyd and Ella Oetinger were saved by Pacific's keeper in the first 11 minutes, but they couldn't find the back of the net.
After another shot on goal by Hayden Goodman, the Logges finally found their breakthrough. Leila Hausia-Haugen came in clutch like she has all season, finding the back of the net on a pass from Ellie Rutkin in the 35th minute. The Loggers held the Boxers scoreless the rest of the half, not allowing a shot after the opening goal.
Hausia-Haugen came in clutch again for the team, scoring in the 60th minute to give the Loggers the lead. After dribbling the ball down the left side, Hausia-Haugen fired a shot on goal from a near-impossible angle. She snuck it through the keeper's right side and the post, finding the back of the net to give the Loggers a game-winner.
The rest of the game was just sitting back and maintaining the lead. Gianna Maldonado made one save, but the Boxers' shot in the 69th minute was the only one of the second half.
What Happens Next
The Loggers picked up a much-needed win, and look to come home with six points against Linfield on November 2nd.
