Chen and Crowther Honored in Final Lacrosse Game

TACOMA, Wash. -- The Logger lacrosse team closed out their 2025 season with an 18-1 loss to visiting Whitman College, following a Senior Day celebration honoring the program's two seniors Michaela Chen and Phoebe Crowther.

While the final score didn't reflect the effort on the field, the Loggers battled across all four quarters. Junior Cat Schilli found the back of the net early in the third quarter, breaking through a tough Whitman defense to give UPS a well-earned highlight in the final home appearance of the season.

Crowther anchored the defense in net, making several key saves and forcing turnovers to limit Whitman's momentum. This past weekend, Crowther surpassed 300 career saves — a major milestone that reflects their consistency, skill, and impact over four seasons. It's a well-earned achievement for a senior who has been at the heart of the Logger defense from start to finish.

On the offensive end, Chen worked relentlessly to create opportunities for the Loggers. Despite often facing double teams, they battled through heavy pressure to drive the attack and keep UPS on the front foot. Their aggressive play kept Whitman's defense under constant pressure, and their impact was felt every time UPS pushed into the offensive zone.

While the scoreboard read 18-1, Saturday was focused on celebrating the impact of two seniors who have been key leaders for the program.

Congratulations, Michaela and Phoebe – once a Logger, always a Logger!
