TACOMA, Wash. -- For the first time in two years, the Loggers women's basketball team has a Northwest Conference Athlete of the Week.

Grace Lee had a fantastic weekend against Linfield and Pacific, averaging 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists. Against Linfield, Lee had 14 points, 5 rebounds, and went an impressive 7-12 from the field with three steals. She bounced back against Pacific, putting up a 16-point, 11-rebound double-double, including a last-second buzzer beater to take down the Boxers. Lee was the driving force of the Loggers' offense this weekend, leading the team in rebounds as well

The last time someone from the Puget Sound women's basketball team earned the weekly honor was on January 29th, 2024. Sophie Nilsson earned the award, averaging 17.5 points against Pacific Lutheran and George Fox, also adding nine rebounds against the Bruins.

Lee continues to have a standout Freshman season, averaging 6.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.6 steals a game. The Loggers currently sit in second place in the NWC, as they look to take on Whitworth on Friday, January 23rd at 5:30 pm.
