| By:
TACOMA, Wash. -- The Northwest Conference has released its All-Conference Women's Basketball teams for the 2025-26 season, with two Loggers making the list.

Puget Sound concluded the 2025-26 season with 20 wins, including an impressive 13-3 record in conference play. Their record was good enough to tie for second place in the conference, marking the seventh straight year the team has made the NWC tournament. With wins over Whitman and Whitworth on February 20th and 21st, the Loggers have also now won 20 games in four of the last five seasons.

Both Puget Sound athletes are making their debut on the honorary squad.

First Team:
Carmen Cruz earns a spot on the All-NWC First Team after a fantastic sophomore campaign for the Loggers. She averaged 13.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game, leading all Loggers in scoring. She dropped a season-high 27 points and 7 rebounds in the Loggers' final game against Whitworth, getting some momentum heading into the postseason.

Third Team:
Mele Sake made her debut on the All-NWC Third Team, dominating the paint on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. The sophomore averaged 7.9 points and 5.1 rebounds per game, also adding 11 blocks to her total. She also shot 47% from the field - one of the top marks on the team.

The Loggers travel down to McMinnville, Ore., for the NWC Tournament on February 27th. They take on Whitman College at 5:30 pm, and look for their first NCAA Tournament appearance since the 2023-24 season.
