Seven Loggers Earn CSC Academic All-District Award

TACOMA, Wash. - - Seven Loggers earned a spot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team this year, showing out both on the court and in the classroom. 

 

The CSC recognizes Scholar-Athletes who are sophomore standing or higher who carry a 3.5 GPA, and also play in 90% of games throughout the year. Four members of the women's basketball team and three from the men's team made the list, showing their versatility across the board. 

Women's Basketball 

Business and Communications major, Natalia Sefair-Lopez, played in all 26 games and started 12. She was a consistent force in the backcourt, running plays for the Loggers and leading the team with 90% at the free-throw line.  

Psychology major, Claire Thompson, played in 26 games and started in 14. An assist machine for the offense, she led the team with 73 total assists and recorded a season-high seven in a single game.

Economics major, Autumn Hill, played in 24 games and started 16. A powerhouse on the boards all season, highlighted by a 13 rebound performance against Middlebury. 

Business major Savannah Pohl played in 25 games and started in 15. The only sophomore on the team to earn the award, she provided a spark with season-high 11 points and five rebounds against Pomona-Pitzer. 

The Loggers finished their season 20-6, finishing in second in the Northwest Conference. 

Men's Basketball 

Business & Economics major, Zane Miller, played and started in all 26 games for the Loggers. He led the team in almost every category, highlighted by a season-high 26 points against the Lutes. 

Psychology major, Jonathan Guy, played in all 26 games. He provided consistent depth in the rotation, with a two-block and rebound performance against George Fox.  

Business major, Beckett Turner, played in 24 games and started two. The sophomore saw a major jump in his role this year, doubling his minutes from last season and grabbing 11 rebounds against Pomona-Pitzer. 

The Loggers finished their season 17-9, finishing second in the Northwest Conference.
