McMINNVILLE, Ore. -- The Loggers drop their final two games of the season to No.8 Linfield.
How it Happened
Game 1
The Wildcats showed why they are a top-10 team in the nation, as the Loggers struggled to find their groove in game one. Linfield put up seven runs in the bottom of the first inning, and two more in the second to make it 9-0 early. After making it 10-0 after the third, the Loggers finally got some momentum.
With two outs in the top of the fourth,
Alyssa Figueroa singled to center to get the Log rolling.
Olivia Boures then singled to left, putting runners on first and second. After Kieryn Garcia pinch ran for Figueroa, the Loggers weren't able to push runners around, keeping the score the same after the top of the fourth. Linfield tacked on one more unearned run in the fourth, as the first game ended 11-0 after five.Â
Game 2
The Wildcats got on the board again early in game two, putting up three runs in the bottom of the first, and two more in the bottom of the third inning. The Loggers were able to get some baserunners in the top of the third, taking advantage ot two Wildcat errors. Boures also continued to hit well, singling to left field in the top of the fourth to end the Logger's no-hitter.Â
Linffield made it a 6-0 ball game after four innings, but the Loggers kept their cool.
Jazzy Allen added a hit in the top of the fifth, and
Nyomi Estrada went 1-2-3 in the bottom of the fifth inning with her second and final strikeout of the day. Estrada put up another zero for the 'Cats in the bottom of the sixth, turning the inning back to the Loggers for one final push.Â
And push the Loggers did. Boures' bat stayed hot, doubling to left-center to lead off the inning.
Rylie Madariaga pich ran, as a single by
Elyssa Garcia was able to send Madariaga home.
Brenna Flannery then drew a walk, and
Claire Besancon singled to center to juice the bases. A lineout ended the inning, as the Loggers drooped game four of the series 6-1.Â

The Loggers are officially done for the season following the conclusion of today's doubleheader.Â
