WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- The Loggers capped off their season with a 23-2 loss to Whitman, finally finishing the season following a slew of injuries that sidelined a number of players.
How it Happened
Despite the loss, today's women's lacrosse game was one for the record books.
Cat Schilli tied the all-time goals record, scoring two today to put it within reach. After the Loggers went down 10-0, Scholli found the back of the net, with
Willa Twomey logging the assist. The Loggers scored in both the second and fourth quarters. With Schilli scoring the pair. This time, the goal was unassisted, as Schilli finished her career with 168 goals in four seasons.
The Loggers held on well against NWC No. 2 Whitman.
Maggie Ott led the team in ground balls with five, which goes down as her best statistic all day. Twomey led the team in draw controls with four, and Schilli was the best with goals, points, and shots on goal for the afternoon.
What Happens Next?
The Loggers are done for the season, but look to rebuild and renovate their team bit by bit for next year.
