TACOMA, Wash. -- Three members of the women's lacrosse team earned a spot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team, showing their strength both on the field and in the classroom.
The CSC recognizes scholar-athletes who are of sophomore year standing or higher who carry a 3.5 GPA, and also play in 75% of games throughout the year.
Economics and Environmental Policy and Decision-making major, Cat Schilli, was a dominant offensive force for the Loggers, finishing as the team's top scorer with 39 goals on the season. Schilli also made her mark on the program record books, tying the school record for single-season draw controls. She wraps up a stellar career with 170 career goals.
Exercise Science major, Malia Bruan, provided valuable depth and hustle for the Loggers this season. Making her presence known, Bruan recorded seven ground balls and forced five caused turnovers on the year, showing her ability to possess and disrupt the opposition.
Science, Technology, Health and Society/Environmental Policy and Decision Making major, Rachel DeLance, provided a crucial spark and valuable depth for Puget Sound this spring. Starting in six games, she dished out two assists against Eastern Oregon while also collecting several ground balls.
After battling through a tough spring schedule, Puget Sound turns its full attention to fall training as they prepare for the 2027 season.
