TACOMA, Wash. - - The Northwest Conference announced its athletes of the week for August 31 through September 8th, naming Puget Sound forward Jackson Smith the Men's Soccer Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week. 
Smith opened the season with a three-goal performance netting a hat trick against Lake Forest. Two goals came off a breakaway and one goal off a converted penalty kick- while putting up 5 shots on the night. He kept it rolling against Chapman, starting the match and adding another shot. Through two games, he's at 3 goals on 6 shots. 

The Loggers return to action on Saturday, September 19, when they host George Fox for their Northwest Conference opener at 12:00 PM at Baker Stadium.
