2019: All-NWC Second Team... During the first game of the season against Claremont-M-S, Varela had 6 rushing attempts  for 45 yards (Sept. 7) ... Varela rushed 7 times for 22 yards in the game vs. Redlands (Sept. 14) ... Varela rushed for 81 yards that resulted in a Logger touchdown in the win over Pacific Lutheran (Oct. 19) ... In the win over Whitworth Varela rushed for 92 yards (Oct. 26) ... During the game vs. Pacific (Ore.) Varela had 10 rushing attempts for 84 yards with 4 touchdowns for the Loggers (Nov. 2) ... Varela rushed for 136 yards during the win over Willamette (Nov. 9) ... 

2018: Varela rushed for 40 yards and had one touchdown in the Logger victory game over La Verne (Sept. 15) ... Varela rushed for 75 yards that resulted in 2 touchdownsfor the Loggers in the victory game over Willamette (Oct. 27) ...  In the last game of the season against George Fox, Varela rushed for 99 yards (Nov. 10) ...
