Although she took over the helm of the Puget Sound lacrosse program in Aug. 2020, Holly Drown's first full season as head coach of the Loggers didn't happen until 2022. Drown led the Loggers to an 8-6 record, notching the program's second winning season since 2010 (excluding the shortened 2020 and 2021 seasons). That year, the Loggers landed three All-Northwest Conference players, and Emily LaRiviere (First Team) ranked eighth in the NWC for scoring (40 goals).

In 2022 the Loggers won four games by at least 10 goals. Puget Sound scored a season-high 20 goals in a win over Whitman.

Drown's emphasis on technical skill is evident in the Loggers' exceptional ability to move the ball up the field. In 2022, Puget Sound was successful in 74.7-percent of its clear attempts - a figure that ranked second in the NWC
