Mandy Flores-Handley, known in the volleyball community as Coach Flo, brings a lifetime of knowledge to the Loggers program this year. Flores-Handley attended Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) where she participated on the volleyball and softball teams all four years. She was named PLU Athlete of the Year her senior year, and was inducted into PLU’s Hall of Fame in 2015. Flores-Handley still holds the record for service aces in a season with 77. Her coaching background includes high school, club, and private lessons. Her high school teams became one of the top contenders in the SPSL during her 11 years as a head coach, and finishing sixth and seventh in State. Flores-Handley was named Coach of Year in 2006, and named Tacoma News Tribune All Area Coach of the Year as well. Her club teams made multiple National appearances between 2010-2018, winning the National Championship in 2015 for the Patriot Division. Flores-Handley focuses on training primary passers and digging defense, and has now been with the Loggers for four years.
