Loggers Strike Early in 2-1 Win

McMINNVILLE, Ore. - Taylor Hyde (Sandy, Utah/Waterford) scored just 35 seconds into the game as the Puget Sound Loggers collected a 2-1 win over the host Linfield Wildcats in a Northwest Conference men's soccer match on Sunday afternoon in McMinnville, Ore.

Hyde gave the Loggers the early lead on the first play of the game as Cole Peterson (Great Falls, Mont.) connected with Hyde, who booted the ball past Linfield keeper Jon Thompson for the 1-0 UPS lead.  The 'Cats answered back just a few minutes later when Michel Camacho scored unassisted in the fifth minute.

In the 36th minute, Alex Lehecka (Burlington, Wash./Burlington-Edison) connected with Kyle Benson (Lynnwood, Wash./Kamiak) for the game-winner after Benson scored his fourth goal of the season.
