TACOMA, Wash. – The
Puget Sound men's soccer team battled for 90 minutes and beyond as
they fought for a scoreless draw with No. 11 Pacific. It was the
second draw for the Loggers (5-2-4, 2-1-2 NWC) in the last three
matches, but it was the first time the Boxers (8-0-2, 4-0-1 NWC)
did not win a conference match.
Chris McDonald
continued to resemble a brick wall in the goal as he made two saves
in the match to secure the draw. However, the Boxers outshot the
Loggers 18-3 in the match.
Despite being outshot in the match, the Loggers fired two of their
three shots in the overtime periods to generate some scoring
opportunities.
The Loggers host George Fox tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. on East
Field.
