McMINNVILLE, Ore. – A rainy Sunday put a damper on the
University of Puget Sound men's soccer team road trip as they
dropped a 2-0 decision to Linfield. Linfield (7-7-1, 6-5) held the
Loggers (8-4-3, 5-3-3) to nine shots in the match.
Andrew White led the Loggers with two shots as eight different
Loggers fired a shot, but all came up empty. The Wildcats scored
their first goal in the 33rd minute when Harper Taylor found the
back of the net off a corner kick. Tyler Repic scored for the
Wildcats in the 50th minute to cap the Linfield victory.
Despite allowing two goals, Chris McDonald made six saves in the
contest, making three in each half.
The Loggers remain on the round next week when they travel to
George Fox on Saturday and Pacific on Sunday.
