Loggers Blank George Fox 3-0

NEWBERG, Ore. – The Puget Sound men's soccer team broke a scoreless tie in the 44th minute and sprinted away from George Fox for a 3-0 victory.

Vince McCluskey broke the silence just a minute and a half before halftime. Matthew Durland played a through ball past that McCluskey tapped in as the keeper came off his line.

The Loggers (9-6, 8-4 NWC) didn't stop the scoring there as Colin McIntosh converted on a penalty at the 55:52 mark. Marcus Rudd capped off the Loggers scoring with a goal from 10 yards out. It was the first goal of Rudd's career. Andrew White earned the assist on the play.

The Loggers outshot the Bruins (2-13-1, 0-11-1 NWC) 12-7 in the match, including 6-2 in shots on goal. Chris McDonald made two saves to preserve the shutout.

The Loggers will take on Pacific on Sunday at 2 p.m.
