Box Score TACOMA, Washington – In the final match of the season and on senior day, the Puget Sound men's soccer team came away with a 2-1 win over cross-town rival Pacific Lutheran.

Andrew White scored his team leading eighth goal of the year in 19th minute. Josh Sonico curved a ball into the box from about 25 yards out that Sam Zisette passed off to White. White then fired the ball strongly past the Lute goalkeeper. In the 67th minute, the Loggers got a little help from Pacific Lutheran on an own goal. Zisette streaked up the left sideline and crossed the ball into the box. The ball then deflected off a Pacific Lutheran defender and into the corner of the net to put the Loggers on top.
Goalkeeper Nathan King made five saves for the Loggers in the match. This win is King's 12th of the season.
In the first half, there was a high speed of play and a real sense of urgency on the field. In the 19th minute, the Loggers pulled ahead with White's goal. Landon Gauthier took a corner kick in the 30th minute that Kenechi Agha headed for a near goal but it hit the post. King made four saves in the period to keep the Loggers up 1-0 at halftime.
Puget Sound started the second half with chances for more goals. Oliver Field hit the post with a shot in the 53rd minute and White had a shot cleared off the goal line by the Lute defense in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute the Lutes tied the game. King saved the initial shot by Eddie Na but the secondary shot by Bryan Anderson found the back of the net. The Loggers got some help from the Lutes in the 67th minute with an own goal that ended up giving Puget Sound the win.
The Loggers outshot the Lutes (11-9) and had more corner kicks (6-2). White led the Loggers in shots with four.
The Loggers finish the season in third place in the Northwest Conference with an overall record of 13-5-2 and an NWC record of 10-3-1.
