Herrera-Flores scores in tie vs. Whitman

TACOMA, Washington – Freshman Angel Herrera-Flores netted his second goal of the season as the Puget Sound men's soccer team reached a 1-1 tie against Whitman Saturday afternoon on East Field.

Puget Sound (5-5-4, 3-3-4 NWC) Whitman (7-6-1), and went into halftime in scoreless tie, but the Loggers struck first.

In the 48th minute, Sean Hamel threw the ball in to Lincoln Schell, and Schell crossed to Herrera-Flores who buried the game's first goal.

Thirty minutes later, the Blues answered back with a goal.

The Loggers had a total 11 shots on goal during the game, and Wren Norwood made six saves.

Puget Sound will take on Whitworth Sunday, Oct. 21 at 2:30 p.m.
