Spence's last-minute goal gives Loggers 3-2 win

McMINNVILLE, Oregon – Cale Spence scored in the final minute of regulation as the Puget Sound men's soccer team overcame a 2-0 deficit to beat Linfield, 3-2, on the road Sunday afternoon.

Dane Schatz assisted on Spence's game-winner, which is the sixth goal of the season for the sophomore.

Puget Sound (8-5-4, 6-3-4 NWC) was down by a pair of goals at halftime, but three different Loggers scored in the second half to stun Linfield (5-9-3, 3-7-3 NWC).

Luke Murdock scored an unassisted goal in the 74th minute, and Lincoln Schell scored the equalizer four minutes later. Murdock has four goals in the past three games, and he leads the Northwest Conference in scoring with 10 goals and 23 points.

Puget Sound is unbeaten in its last six games, posting a 4-0-2 record during the stretch.

The last game of the regular season is at Pacific Lutheran Saturday, November 3, at 12 p.m.
