Men's soccer erupts for 12 goals against Brooklyn

TACOMA, Washington – A trio of Loggers scored multiple goals to lead the Puget Sound men's soccer team to a 12-0 triumph over Brooklyn on East Field Saturday afternoon. 

Simply Put, the Loggers (2-2) scored early and often. Cale Spence, who scored the game-winning goal against Northwest Christian on Friday, scored Puget Sound's first goal in the third minute.

Freshman Angel Herrera-Flores scored his first-career goal in the sixth minute, and classmate Gabriel Faro-White also scored for the first time in his collegiate career in the 42nd minute.

Luke Murdock, Lucas Curry, and Dane Schatz each scored twice. For Murdock it was his second and third goals of the season. Curry and Shatz scored for the first time this season.

Wren Norwood earned the shutout after playing all 90 minutes in goal. He needed to make just one stop.

The Northwest Conference schedule begins Saturday, Sept. 15, when the Loggers host Linfield at 2:30 p.m.
