Box Score

TACOMA, Washington - The Puget Sound men's soccer team battled for 90 minutes to take the 2-1 victory over Linfield on Sunday afternoon.

Within the first seven minutes of the contest, Puget Sound's (7-2-2, 4-2) Patrick Selner struck a high-ball from outside the 18-yard box that glanced off the keeper's hand and would ultimately find the back of the net.

The Loggers held the 1-0 lead at halftime.

In the 63rd minute, Cale Spence uncorked a shot that bounced off the keeper to increase the Logger lead. The Wildcats (4-5-1, 2-3) responded quick striking a rebound off the post in the 64th minute to make the score 2-1.

The Logger's defense shutdown the Wildcats for the remainder of the contest.

Puget Sound will be on the road at Pacific Lutheran, Saturday, Oct. 12, at 2:30 p.m.
