Babiak nets game-winning goal in overtime at George Fox

Box Score

NEWBERG, Oregon – Ninety minutes wasn't enough, but an extra 74 seconds is all the Puget Sound men's soccer team needed to stun George Fox in overtime, 1-0, Friday night.

Marko Babiak was hardly shy to shoot all night, and he finally found the back of the net in the 92nd minute to give Puget Sound (9-5-3, 6-5-1 NWC) its first win in four games.

Babiak led all players with seven shots, three of which were on goal.

Ethan Stern-Ellis returned to the net after missing the previous four games with an injury. He made six saves against George Fox (5-11-2, 2-9-1 NWC), improving his conference-leading GAA to .053.

The Loggers remain in Oregon to take on Pacific Sunday, Nov. 3, at 12 p.m.
