Loggers hold opposition scoreless for fourth straight game

SANTA CRUZ, California – Junior goaltender Ethan Stern-Ellis and the Logger defense held UC Santa Cruz scoreless, but the No. 17 Puget Sound men's soccer team reached a tie against the Banana Slugs Sunday afternoon.

Puget Sound (3-0-2) has held opponents scoreless for four consecutive games, and it has surrendered just one goal through the first five games of the season.

Stern-Ellis made four saves through 110 minutes against UC Santa Cruz. Puget Sound's offense unable to muster as much opportunity, and did not put a single shot on goal.

The Loggers begin their Northwest Conference schedule at home against Pacific Saturday, Sept. 21, at 2:30 p.m.
