No. 20 Loggers defeat Boxers, 2-0, to kickoff NWC season

TACOMA, Washington - The No. 20 Puget Sound men's soccer team opened the Northwest Conference season with a 2-0 victory over Pacific on East Field Saturday afternoon. 

With the victory, the Loggers improved to 4-0-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play. The Boxers fell 1-4-1 overall and 0-1 in NWC. 

Puget Sound's Luke Murdock tallied his fourth goal of the season from an assist by Sean Hamel early into the second period.

Later in the half, Angel Herrera-Flores netted an insurance goal in the 77th minute by burying a close-range shot off a pass from Tyler Zamira

Puget Sound will be back in action to host George Fox, Sunday, Sept. 22 at 2:30 p.m. on East Field.
