TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound women's soccer team had a resounding 3-0 win over Willamette on the road Saturday afternoon. All three goals were scored in the second half.
Tess Carden set up
Genny Jilka's fourth goal of the season to break a scoreless tie in the 51
st minute. Eight minutes later,
Kiana Serrao's third goal of the season gave the Loggers a 2-0 advantage.
The scoring didn't stop there as
Kylee Roath's goal in the 88
th minute put a stamp on the victory.
Chaylea Tome made four saves on the afternoon as her and the Loggers have only allowed one goal on the season.
Puget Sound had 23 shots to go along with seven corner kicks on the afternoon.
The Loggers (8-0-1, 4-0-1 NWC) will look to ride this momentum into their matchup at Linfield (1-6-2, 0-4-1 NWC) Sunday, Oct. 3, at 12 p.m.
