SPOKANE, Washington – Cale Spence scored his fifth goal of the season, but the Puget Sound men's soccer team lost at Whitworth, 3-1, Sunday afternoon.
 
Spence beat Whitworth (7-7-1, 6-5-0 NWC) defenders off the dribble and buried a shot with his left foot to give the Loggers (5-6-3, 4-4-3 NWC) a 1-0 lead in the 32^nd minute.
 
The Pirates, however, scored twice within six minutes of Spence's goal.
 
The Loggers put more shots on target overall, 8-7, but only three attempts were on frame in the second half.
 
Puget Sound returns home to host George Fox Saturday, Oct. 30, at 2:30 p.m.
