Chaylea Tome's nation-leading 13
th shutout, propelled the No. 20/22 Puget Sound women's soccer team to a 1-0 win over Willamette Saturday afternoon.

The Loggers (15-0-2, 11-0-2 NWC) and Bearcats (5-12-0, 4-9-0 NWC) entered halftime in a scoreless tie, but the even score was short-lived in the second half.

Kiana Serrao connected with Roath to give the Loggers the lead.

Puget Sound continued to pressure Willamette throughout the second half. Shortly after Roath's goal, a shot by Serrao hit the post.
Mimi Carrier-Berndt also hit the post in the 79
th minute.

The Loggers earned a penalty kick in the second half, but they could not capitalize on the opportunity.

Tome needed six saves to preserve the shutout.

Puget Sound hosts Pacific Sunday, Oct. 31, at 12 p.m. The Loggers will celebrate nine graduating seniors before kickoff.
